I work at Conservation International within the Moore Center for Science as a GIS Manager. My primary focus is modeling ecological resilience to climate stressors and shocks and agricultural intensification in Africa while prioritizing important natural capital for conservation. Our team uses remote sensing and GIS applications to identify areas with land degradation and land cover change. I served in the U.S. Peace Corps for three years working with sustainable agriculture and forestry practices in Northern Zambia. I was awarded the opportunity to extend my contract where I worked with the communities surrounding Kasanka National Park promoting participatory forest management and sustainable alternative livelihoods.
