The SF Bay Area SCGIS Chapter is part of the Society for Conservation GIS and BayGeo 501(c)(3) non-profits. The Chapter’s purpose is to establish a forum and facilitate events that provide education and networking opportunities for individuals and organizations that are interested in applying geospatial technologies toward conservation efforts or projects. Memberships is open to all, but meeting topics and discussion are generally focused on GIS conservation projects in the San Francisco Bay Region (San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, etc)
