SCGIS Academic Programs Database

The SCGIS Communications Committee has published the SCGIS Academic Programs Database to share information on degree and certificate programs providing training in GIS and remote sensing with a focus on environmental conservation.

This database is an online and interactive list of academic degree and certificate programs that is specifically tailored to the SCGIS community. Users can view and interact with a list of 22 programs (and growing!) and find information about program and degree type, instructional mode, and final experience requirement.

While for 2021 we focus on post-bachelors academic programs in the US, we welcome input from the SCGIS community on other programs that should be added. Programs can be suggested using a standard form and will be reviewed regularly by SCGIS members and the Communications Committee.

We thank the following SCGIS members for their contribution to this project: Sarah Graves, Rebecca Degagne, Florencia Sangermano, Jonathan Resop, Trevor Gareth Jones, Joseph Kerski and members of the SCGIS Communications Committee
