The Society for Conservation GIS (SCGIS) is an **all-volunteer**, U.S. based 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are an organization committed to advancing conservation GIS globally by building and supporting a vibrant community of conservation GIS practitioners.

To support and grow an inclusive global community using geospatial technology for conservation of biodiversity, natural environments, and cultural heritage.

All Society for Conservation GIS (SCGIS) members, including SCGIS Board and Advisory Council members, committee volunteers, and attendees of the SCGIS Annual Conference and other SCGIS events are required to embrace and agree with the [code of conduct](https://api.scgis.org/uploads/Code_Of_Conduct_2021_02_16_6cd59f8a2d.pdf) to ensure a safe environment for everybody.
